Leidapharm bisacodyl laxeer 5mg is used for constipation and for bowel emptying prior to surgery or X-ray examination of the abdominal organs. Bisacodyl is also used to facilitate defecation in hemorrhoids.

| Directions for use | blockage As with all medicines of the group to which bisacodyl belongs, Leidapharm® should Laxative tablets Bisacodyl 5 mg tablets should in principle not be taken for more than three days in a row are used. Adults and children from 11 years: 1-2 tablets (10 mg) per day at bedtime. Children 2 to 10 years: 1 tablet (5 mg) per day at bedtime. Take the tablets preferably in the evening, so that the next morning (about 10 hours after taking) defecation takes place. |
| Ingredients | The other ingredients are lactose, maize starch, povidone (E1201), magnesium stearate (E470B), methacrylic acid copolymer, talc (E553B), titanium dioxide (E171), triethyl citrate (E1505), colloidal silica, sodium bicarbonate (E500), sodium lauryl sulfate, quinoline yellow (E104), iron oxide yellow (E172) and sunset yellow (E110). |

| Important information | Not to be used with: Bisacodyl should not be used in sudden severe abdominal pain that may indicate other conditions, e.g. appendicitis. Also do not use in case of inflammation of the rectum or in case of tears in the anus and if the intestinal passage is obstructed. |
